The Role:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and adaptable Supply Teachers to work in various secondary schools in Carnforth and the surrounding Lancaster area. This is a flexible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students, covering a range of subjects and year groups during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring they remain on task with pre-set work.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and procedures.
Deliver pre-planned lessons to a variety of year groups and subjects.
Adapt to the diverse needs of students in the classroom.
Provide a positive and engaging learning environment.
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behaviour and progress.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any issues that may arise.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
Possess strong classroom management skills.
Be adaptable, flexible, and enthusiastic.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Be committed to the well-being and safeguarding of children.
Desirable:
Experience teaching a range of subjects within the secondary curriculum.
Knowledge of different teaching methodologies and strategies.
A passion for education and supporting student learning.
