Deputy Support Lead Manager (SEMH Experience Required) Location: Basingstoke Full-time | 42.5 hours per week | Term time only (39 weeks) Start Date: Before June 2025 Initial 5-week probation via Teaching Personnel, followed by a direct school contract Are you an experienced behaviour specialist ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic Deputy Support Lead Manager to join a forward-thinking and highly inclusive educational setting supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In this vital role, you'll support the ongoing development of behaviour strategies and interventions across the school, helping to shape a safe, engaging, and purposeful learning environment for all pupils. Your expertise will directly impact both student outcomes and staff development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement targeted behavioural interventions and mentoring for pupils with complex SEMH needs Monitor and evaluate behaviour strategies, including oversight of CPOMS data Support staff development, including performance management and training in de-escalation and physical intervention techniques Oversee behaviour-related systems across multiple settings, supporting structural improvements and staffing Work collaboratively with families, outside agencies, and internal teams to support student progress Deliver and lead on behaviour training (including becoming a GSA tutor) Promote high expectations, resilience, and a restorative approach to behaviour management Essential Requirements: Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH needs Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills Confidence in handling challenging behaviours in a calm and constructive manner Ability to start before June 2025 Commitment to completing an initial 5-week probation period through Teaching Personnel This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion, with the resilience, warmth, and drive to make a lasting impact on young lives.
