Job Description

Support Workers – Children’s Residential Care (NVQ Level 3) Location: IP7, Suffolk Start Date: ASAP Shifts: Day Shifts Are you an experienced Support Worker with a passion for helping young people thrive in challenging circumstances? We are urgently seeking female Support Workers for a temporary placement within a children’s residential care setting in the IP7 area of Suffolk. About the Role: This role involves working with teenagers who may display challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding and supporting them through daily routines, emotional regulation, and the development of life skills – always promoting independence, safety, and dignity. Key Responsibilities: * Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to service users * Use de-escalation techniques when necessary, in line with Team Teach principles * Encourage and promote positive behaviour and personal development * Support with household tasks, education, and activities * Maintain accurate records and report any safeguarding concerns Requirements: ✔ NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential) ✔ Team Teach training (essential) ✔ Valid Mandatory Training Certificates ✔ Previous experience supporting young people with complex needs ✔ Calm, observant, and methodical approach to behaviour management ✔ Must be able to work flexible day shifts Why Apply? * Competitive agency pay rate * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives * Work with a supportive team in a structured, regulated environment Apply now for immediate consideration and a member of the Key Health Team will be in touch.
