Job Description
I am recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading RC Frame / Groundworks Contractor in London who are actively looking for a sustainability manager to join their rapidly growing team.
In this role you will be responsible for leading and coordinating sustainability initiatives across all construction projects, offices, and supply chains. You will be developing and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, and driving measurable improvements aligned with the Group’s ESG objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Advise the leadership team on sustainability risks
* Maintain, update, and communicate internal sustainability policies.
* Liaise with environmental bodies, local authorities, and regulatory agencies
* Support site teams in implementing sustainable construction practices (e.g., carbon reduction, energy efficiency, sustainable materials)
* Lead on environmental audits and inspections across projects and office locations.
* Oversee the management and reduction of waste, water, and energy consumption
What you need:
* Proven experience in a similar sustainability or environmental role within the construction or infrastructure sector.
* Strong understanding of environmental legislation, BREEAM, ISO 14001,
* Experience in data collection and sustainability reporting frameworks
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Construction Management or a related field.
* IEMA or similar environmental accreditationBefore You Apply
