Job Description
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking TA Recovery Officer for a local authority based in Berkshire.
In this role, you will support households in temporary accommodation by ensuring accurate placements, completing key documents, assessing suitability, and managing housing duties.
Key Duties:
Complete sign-ups for temporary accommodation, including Housing Benefit forms and license agreements.
Update and maintain accurate records on NEC and Jigsaw systems.
Carry out suitability assessments and discharge housing duties (s.188/s.193) where appropriate.
Collaborate with internal teams and apply safeguarding principles in all casework.Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Experience in temporary accommodation placement and/or management.
Knowledge of housing legislation, including s.188 and s.193 duties.
Proficiency in using housing systems such as NEC and Jigsaw.
Understanding of safeguarding principles and how to apply them in practice.What's on offer:
Salary: Up to £22ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
