Special Needs Support Assistant - Tadworth - Immediate Start
Location: Tadworth
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
DBS: Ideally on the Update Service or willing to apply for one
We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Special Needs Support Assistant to join a fantastic specialist school in Tadworth, supporting pupils with complex needs on a full-time basis.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The school offers a highly supportive and nurturing environment, working with children who have a range of needs including physical disabilities, autism, communication difficulties, and medical conditions.
The role will include:
Supporting children with complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Assisting with personal care and mobility where required
Helping students engage with learning and therapy sessions
Working closely with the class teacher and other professionals (e.g. therapists, SENCOs)
Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience working with children or adults with complex needs (not essential but preferred)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
A proactive and hands-on attitude
Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
