Horizon Teachers is supporting a dynamic and inclusive KS3 Pupil Referral Unit in East London in their search for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This PRU works with students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.
The school is looking for a confident and resilient individual who can build strong, positive relationships with students and provide both academic and emotional support. If you have an interest in sports, life skills, or mentoring, and you're passionate about helping young people re-engage with education, this could be the perfect role for you.
What the school is looking for:
• A Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
• Someone who can support sports, outdoor learning, or life skills sessions.
• A team player with patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
• Experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or youth work is highly desirable.
