Job Description

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, working alongside teachers to provide additional support to students. You will assist with learning activities, work with small groups or individual pupils, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering well-structured and engaging lessons.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
* Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by adapting learning activities to their needs.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
* Prepare learning materials and set up classroom resources.
* Encourage pupils’ confidence and independence in their learning.
* Supervise children during break times, trips, and school activities.
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is beneficial.
* A patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to working with young learners.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Adaptability and a proactive attitude to assist with various classroom tasks.
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
