Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced, compassionate, and committed Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive mainstream primary school in the WA15 area of Trafford. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is to support a small, well-resourced SEN class and will start as soon as possible.
The Teaching Assistant will be based in a specialist SEN class of up to 8 pupils, ranging from Year 2 to Year 5 age. Pupils have a variety of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and two other experienced Teaching Assistants to support learning, regulation, and personal development.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Work within a small SEN class of up to 8 pupils (Y2-Y5)
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH and other needs
Provide 1:1 and group support alongside the teacher and TAs
Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
Promote a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning space
Assist with transitions, sensory needs, and classroom routinesThe Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
Be experienced in SEND or inclusive primary education
Remain calm and patient under pressure
Work confidently with a range of additional needs
Be a team player who contributes to a nurturing environment
Be flexible, proactive, and eager to learnTeaching Assistant Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Strong references from recent school-based roles
