Reception Teaching Assistants (1:1 and General Support) - Primary School - Elephant and Castle
Location: Elephant and Castle, South London
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available
Position Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Elephant and Castle is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their Reception team. We are recruiting for both 1:1 support roles and general classroom assistance, offering a rewarding opportunity to support early years learners at a vital stage in their development.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and committed to helping them thrive in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
The Role:
Support pupils in the Reception class with both learning and social development
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for children with additional needs, including speech and language or social communication difficulties
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a stimulating learning space
Encourage positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with pupilsWhat We're Looking For:
Experience working with children in an early years or primary setting (EYFS experience is a strong advantage)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
Knowledge of early childhood development and the EYFS framework (preferred)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
