GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant for September placement at schools in Southampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a positive learning environment, fostering collaboration between students and faculty, and contributing to the overall success of our educational programs.
About the Role:
Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton
Salary Scale: £82.10 to £104.16 per day
Start Date: September 2025 as start date
Teaching Assistant Role:
Support teachers in the planning and delivery of dynamic and engaging lessons.
Offer individualised assistance to students, aiding them in understanding complex concepts and achieving academic excellence.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student participation and collaboration.
Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching strategies and resources.
Contribute to the holistic development of students by nurturing their social and emotional well-being.
Gain valuable hands-on experience in a lively educational setting, ideal for those aspiring to become teachers.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant role:
Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Be available for work Monday to Friday.
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring towards students.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us).
A fully checkable work history.
Flexibility to adapt to various teaching styles and environments.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
