Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Meldreth, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Overview
Salary: (£22,102.72 - £24,103.93 annual salary), based on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks a year)

This SEN School is an independent, specialised day school dedicated to providing an exceptional learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ADHD, and related challenges. With a strong emphasis on individualised support, the school cater to students with complex medical and sensory needs, helping them manage sensory overload, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and transition difficulties. Their well-resourced school offers a range of therapeutic facilities to support our students in achieving their goals and preparing for adulthood.
As this SEN school expands, they are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our National Autistic Society (NAS) accredited team, helping us create meaningful, positive outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities
Support student learning and development across various settings, including classrooms, local environments, and the wider community
Assist students with PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism in reaching their educational and personal goals
Promote a respectful and inclusive environment, focusing on equality, diversity, and the empowerment of all students
Embrace and demonstrate the values of the school in your work, continually growing your understanding of SEN
Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as neededAbout You
