Salary: £22,102.72- £24,103.93 actual salary - dependant on experience and qualifications Plus £1000 Welcome bonus*
Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Term time only
About the Role:
Simply Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a NAS accredited specialist team at a highly respected independent special day school. This role is integral in creating better outcomes and enhancing life chances for students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of MLD and SLD needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties. Many students also have complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments. The ideal candidate will support students in managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, and difficulties with transitions, often demonstrated through behaviours.

Support students with their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum in various settings, including classrooms, local environments, and the community
Assist young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals
Foster an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people to be recognised as learners and treated with respect
Emphasise support and empowerment of young people
Develop a deeper understanding of Special Education issues and the values of Simply Education, demonstrating these in all aspects of the role
Provide high-quality support in all facets of the role
