Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for a Child with Autism - Year 3)
Location: Primary School in Hammersmith
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Until the end of the academic year (with potential for extension)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £80 - £110 per day dependant on experience
About Us:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 child with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 support for the child, adapting activities and resources to meet their individual needs.
Foster the child's social, emotional, and academic development within a structured learning environment.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement and monitor the child's individual education plan (IEP).
Use strategies to support sensory regulation, communication, and positive behavior.
Encourage participation in class activities and peer interaction.
Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and contribute to reviews and assessments.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (SEN).
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Autism training) are desirable but not essential.What We Offer:
