Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24)
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 3:30pm (term time only)
Contract: Long term to Permanent

Long Term Futures are working with a well-established and nurturing independent SEN school in Newark (NG24) that supports students aged 5-19 with autism and related learning needs. The school is now looking for 2 compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistants to join their team with one to start as soon as possible, and another to start in September 2025.
A Day in The Position:
Providing 1-1 or small group support tailored to individual students
Assisting with engaging, structured learning activities and adapting materials where needed
Supporting students' emotional, social and mental wellbeing
Helping implement positive behaviour strategies both in and out of the classroom
Encouraging pupils to develop independence, communication and life skills
Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to ensure consistent support
What We're Looking For:
Essential: Experience working with children or young people with SEN (ASD support experience is highly valued)
A patient, calm and flexible approach to supporting behaviour and learning
A team player who can build strong relationships with both students and staff
