SEN Teaching Assistant – KS1 (NG18) – Start ASAP
Location: NG18, Mansfield

Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (KS1)
Pay: £95 - £105 per day
Class Mate is supporting a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the NG18 area, who are looking to appoint a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting immediately.
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience supporting children in KS1, ideally in a 1:1 SEN capacity
*
A patient and nurturing approach
*
Knowledge of autism, speech and language needs, or sensory processing differences
*
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
*
A calm, consistent presence and strong communication skills
Key responsibilities:
*
Delivering 1:1 support tailored to the child’s EHCP and individual needs
*
Encouraging engagement and supporting emotional regulation
*
Assisting with targeted interventions and adapted learning activities
*
Supporting transitions, routines, and positive behaviour strategies
*
Building strong relationships with the child and wider school team
