Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (NG5) – Start ASAP
Location: NG5, Nottingham
Start date: ASAP
Position type: Full-time, long-term
Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Pay: £95 - £105 per day
Class Mate is working closely with a welcoming primary school in the NG5 area, who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 child on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person.
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience supporting children with additional needs (autism, ADHD, or SEMH)
*
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
*
Strong behaviour management strategies
*
Confidence working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning
*
A genuine passion for supporting children with barriers to learning
You will be responsible for:

Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
*
Helping the child to access learning and regulate behaviour
*
Assisting with planning and delivering individualised interventions
*
Building positive relationships with the child, staff, and parents/carers
*
Promoting inclusion and supporting emotional and academic progress
