We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEMH school in Bovington. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the educational journey of pupils who require tailored support to thrive both academically and personally.
About the Role:
Location: Bovington, Dorset
Hours: Full-time, term-time only (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: September 2025
Responsibilities:
Support pupils in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Assist with learning activities, adapting to individual needs
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or other challenging behaviours
A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and develop through ongoing training
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
