Role as a KS2 Teaching Assistant (Year 5 or 6)
In this role, you’ll be a key member of the upper KS2 team, supporting either Year 5 or Year 6 pupils as they prepare for academic transition to secondary school. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers to deliver engaging learning, while also leading small group sessions and providing targeted interventions where needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Supporting teaching and learning across the core curriculum in Year 5 or Year 6
* Leading small group literacy or numeracy interventions
* Helping pupils consolidate learning and stretch their thinking in key subject areas
* Assisting with classroom routines, behaviour management, and lesson delivery
* Helping prepare pupils for SATs and supporting emotional readiness for secondary transition
* Collaborating with the KS2 team to track progress and adapt support strategies
* Engaging fully in school life, including enrichment, CPD, and extracurricular events
