Team Lead - Systems Test - Aerospace Systems
My client is seeking an experienced Systems Test & Verification Supervisor to lead advanced testing and verification efforts for next-generation aerospace systems. This is a senior-level role ideal for a test engineering specialist ready to influence capability development, guide a high-performing team, and shape departmental tools, processes, and infrastructure.
You?ll define and deliver verification and validation (V&V) strategies across the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA). Working within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), you will provide both technical leadership and hands-on expertise in environmental and functional testing of mechanical and electromechanical aerospace systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead definition of system and equipment-level test strategies, including integration
Conduct V&V activities: requirements validation, test planning, execution, analysis, and compliance reporting
Develop custom test equipment and fixtures for mechanical/electromechanical systems
Provide guidance, coaching, and technical mentorship to engineers
Interface with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and team capability
Requirements:
Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong background in systems test engineering within aerospace or defence
Experience in full lifecycle verification, compliance strategies, and failure investigations
Proven leadership of small engineering teams and technical mentoring
