Temporary Works Coordinator
12-month rolling contract
Located in Huddersfield
£400 - £475 per day - Umbrella PAYE
VGC are currently recruiting for numerous contractors to join the Temporary Works team, this is working for a major tier one contractor and working on one of the UK's biggest rail projects in the Huddersfield area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process the design briefs and ensure all the required information is passed on to the Designers.
Check the implementation and maintenance of the works.
Ensure TW documentation is adequately maintained within the site management systems.
Register or record the drawings, calculations and other relevant documents relating to the final design.
Attending meetings with the site team to determine most suitable construction methodology and solution.
Ensure the successful demobilisation of the temporary works.
Ensure fully TW control including permits to load.
Evaluate and appoint TW Supervisors.
Attend regular Temporary Works design review meetings to monitor progress on the designs to ensure they will be available for use when the site team needs them.
Ensure that those responsible for on-site supervision/construction receive full design details with significant risks and design limitations are highlighted.
Attend regular Temporary Works Co-ordinator meetings to gain an overview on what work is ongoing on the project and be able to assist in other work areas if required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Worked with/for Tier 1 contractors.
Previously worked in Temporary Works positions.
Civil engineering / background and looking to join the temporary works team.
Previous rail experience is a preference.
Have sufficient knowledge and experience to liaise with the designers.
CSCS
Civil/Structural Engineering qualification preferred.
CRE C status would be beneficial and could be suitable for a Lead TWC role.
