KS3/4 SEN Teaching Assistant
FULL TIME, UNTIL JULY 2025 - STARTING IMMEDIATELY
This school is a specialist provision for young people who need that little extra support and guidance. Students at this school can pose challenges but staff who are calm, patient, resilient and caring will make huge differences in this setting.
We have worked with this Headteacher for several years now and they have a particular interest in securing the services of an enthusiastic graduate for this particular position. There is lots of training available for the successful position and our SLT run regular CPD for all staff. This role would be ideal for someone considering teacher training for September 2025. The role of a TA is much more "all encompassing" and you will provide some academic support, some 1:1 mentoring, and some "crisis intervention" to support students who need intervention. This is a full time role and will run until July 2025.
Standards are high and the young people in the school are supported from day one with a uniform approach by teachers and support staff, and a calm, positive environment is noticed from the moment you enter the school. Our client enjoys a strong reputation inside the SEMH domain and is proud of the standards they set.
Our school recently underwent a full renovation and refurbishment and boasts leading facilities including sensory rooms, a stunning outdoor garden space and accessibility to a beautiful nature trail which during the summer months, staff are encouraged to get students out and about on to enjoy the holistic benefits of nature.
