I am looking for a Traffic Signal Technician to work in the Newcastle area on behalf of the council.
You will be responsible for working in a busy traffic signals department undertaking the installation, replacement and inspection of maintenance of electronic, electrical and mechanical devices and mechanisms associated with traffic signals and other equipment controlling the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
The Operative will receive:
£20 - £21 P/H (Umbrella or CIS)
Long run of workThe successful candidate will be expected to complete:
Tasks with little to no supervision.
Annual inspections including preventative maintenance works.
Identification of operational problems and liaision with Traffic Signal Manager/Supervisor.
Comply with all H&S requirements.
Be responsible for the completion of all relevant paperwork in accordance with departmental requirements.
7:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday to Thursday and 7:30am - 12:30pm on Friday.
Requirements:
Previous experience in the above.
G39 qualified.
Electrical qualification.
