Location: Medway (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of traffic signal workstreams
* Oversee operation, maintenance, and fault resolution of traffic systems including UTC
* Provide technical input on highway projects involving signal infrastructure
* Review and interpret capacity assessments and signal design specifications
* Act as client representative for traffic signal projects
* Mentor assistant engineers and junior technical staff
* Liaise with internal/external stakeholders, ensuring high service standards
What we’re looking for:
* HNC or higher in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in traffic signals/systems within a public body or authority
* Strong knowledge of UK traffic signal systems (e.g. VA, SCOOT, MOVA, UTC)
* Demonstrable experience in project delivery, fault resolution, and specification review
* Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
Desirable:
* Certificates in traffic signal design or traffic systems
* Project Management accreditation (e.g. PRINCE2, APM)
* Experience mentoring or training staff
This role requires both office and site presence, with hybrid flexibility built in.
