Major Recruitment are recruiting Transport Planners for a client based in Middlesbrough.
This vacancy is an immediate start and temporary to permanent for the right candidate. Candidates will be working in a busy transport department working alongside existing team members to deliver an outstanding service to customers.
Responsible for overseeing all areas of the transport planning facilities to ensure efficient and effective planning and scheduling of transportation activities.
This role requires a combination of strong leadership, analytical skills, and industry knowledge to optimise transportation operations, enhance customer satisfaction.
Hours of work and pay rates are:
Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week.
£12.50 per hour Applicants will be required to:
Plan trucks to meet delivery/collection times.
Co-ordinate inbound/outbound traffic.
Ensure customers queries are dealt with.
Manage driver queries.
Manage vehicle allocation/breakdowns.Candidates must have previous experience in planning vehicles across the UK.
