Job Description

Role Overview The Full Stack Developer works in collaboration with UX and Design teams, alongside clients, to bring creative digital visions to life. This role is central to developing new websites and applications, as well as supporting and enhancing existing digital solutions. The developer will contribute throughout the project lifecycle - from concept through delivery - building robust, scalable, and secure digital experiences. Core Responsibilities Development & Delivery Build and maintain web and application solutions using a variety of technologies. Consistently write clean, well-documented, and tested code in line with industry best practices. Develop reusable code libraries and maintain a structured codebase to improve team efficiency. Ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to specification - raising risks early where necessary. Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Implement secure and scalable architectures and data access layers. Lead resolution of critical support issues, ensuring timely escalations and clear communication throughout. Keep current with best practices in data protection and application security, mitigating risks wherever possible. Collaboration & Mentorship Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to meet project goals. Offer guidance and informal mentoring to junior developers. Promote a supportive and positive team environment through open communication and a willingness to share knowledge. Give constructive feedback and contribute to the growth and capability of the wider team. Client Engagement & Growth Identify opportunities to add value to client strategies with innovative digital solutions. Present ideas clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders. Support wider agency or company initiatives including social and environmental impact efforts. Self & Team Development Take part in regular company meetings and internal activity groups. Proactively identify opportunities for personal development and upskilling. Stay up to date with emerging trends in digital technology and development tools.Key Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail, delivering designs with a high degree of precision. Highly organised, with excellent time management and documentation habits.Required Experience & Technical Proficiency Essential: Commercial experience developing full-stack websites and applications. Front-end development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Back-end development experience in C# with .NET Core and/or .NET Framework. Familiarity with development tools: VS Code / Visual Studio, Git (Bitbucket/GitHub), JIRA. Comfortable working with databases, particularly SQL. Strong understanding of accessibility, performance, and SEO standards. Experience integrating with third-party APIs and deploying .NET applications (IIS, Azure, AWS, Octopus Deploy etc.). Experience with CMS platforms, particularly Umbraco, including extending the back office and creating custom data types. Knowledge of build tools such as NPM, Sass, and Vite. Basic understanding of writing automated tests.Desirable: Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with G Suite tools (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
