Vehicle Inspector – Bus Garage
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £43,000 - £48,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Vehicle Inspector or technician with a background in heavy vehicles or buses? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established bus garage in Liverpool, where your skills and expertise will be highly valued.
The Role: As a Vehicle Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of a fleet of buses. You’ll be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and ensuring all vehicles are fully compliant with legal and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out scheduled inspections and routine maintenance
Identify mechanical faults and complete necessary repairs
Ensure all vehicles meet DVSA and company safety standards
Maintain accurate service records and inspection reports
Collaborate with garage staff and supervisors to improve fleet performanceRequirements:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Inspector, HGV Technician, or similar
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety
Valid UK driving licence (PCV or HGV desirable)Benefits:
