Veterinarian, Rochester, Victoria. Australia. From $80k per annum.

Based in Rochester for over 40 years, they have predominantly been a mixed practice, but over the last 7 years, the small animal side has been growing exponentially.
With a strong emphasis on providing a high level of service and ensuring an excellent client experience (check out their dozens of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews on Google), they have been able to buy an adjacent property and convert it into a state-of-the-art hospital.

The beauty of an independent, is you aren’t micro-managed, they are not in the cross hairs of corporate life, there are no silly targets for vets, no one telling you what to do from afar, the job is tough enough without adding additional stress!
The position involves a wide range of medical and surgical small animal cases, there will be ample opportunity to pursue any chosen interest, such as diagnostic imaging, orthopaedics, internal medicine etc. Further study is actively supported with a 1-week study leave and a conference or course paid for each year.
The rota’s fair and sensible here: 40 hours over 5 days, with two Saturday morning in a 12 week block and minimal OOH’s.

You are not far from Bendigo in Victoria, a vibrant city with historic buildings, museums, galleries, and plenty of bars and restaurants. With the Murray River easily accessible, a great place for water skiers, kayakers, swimmers, and campers, what’s not to like?
