Are you a skilled and dedicated VMU Manager/ HGV Workshop Controller / HGV Technician looking for an exciting career opportunity? Our client, a well-established and reputable commercial vehicle fleet company, is seeking a talented HGV Workshop Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
As a VMU Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing all aspects of workshop operations as the VMU Manager.
Managing a small team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring efficiency and quality in all repairs.
Overseeing the maintenance and repair of HGVs and municipal vehicles to meet high standards.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Implementing and maintaining an effective fleet maintenance schedule.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure fleet availability meets operational demands.
Maintaining comprehensive records of repairs, inspections, and stock levels.
Your role as VMU Manager will be central to the smooth running of the municipal fleet. From leading a talented team to maintaining operational excellence, this is a chance to showcase your skills and make a real impact.
Requirements:
To be well-suited to this role as an VMU Manager, you should have:
Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance, repair processes, and diagnostics.
Ability and enthusiasm to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) are highly desirable.Benefits:
