Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our client’s team in Sawston. This role is a full time, permanent position working 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
For this position our client is open to considering candidates with relevant supervisory experience looking to take that next step into Warehouse management.
Main Duties:
* Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
* Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimal waste.
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage vendor relationships.
* Supervise and train the warehouse team, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
* Maintain an organised storage system to maximise space and workflow efficiency.
* Monitor logistics costs and identify areas for improvement.
* Oversee fleet management and ensure safe handling of all stock.
* Collaborate with retail and operations teams to support seasonal demand and promotions.
* Staff appraisals
Successful Candidate:
* Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management.
* Previous experience implementing changes in a warehouse setting.
* Proven ability to manage a high volume of inbound shipments/goods.
* Someone who is happy to be working in a fast-paced hands-on environment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.
