Water Hygiene Technician/ Lab Technician
1 or 2 days per week, for 3-4 months contract,
6 hours per day.
£18.00 - £20.00 per hour.
Water Hygiene Technician/ Lab Technician
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Water Hygiene Technician,
Role & responsibilities
* You’ll be responsible for assisting in the monitoring, cleaning, and maintenance of water systems to comply with current water hygiene regulations.
* Conduct water sampling and temperature checks across various sites
* Clean and disinfect water systems, tanks, and cooling towers
* Assist with inspections and risk assessments for Legionella control
* Keep accurate records of inspections, test results, and services provided
* Communicate effectively with clients and respond to any inquiries
* CWST Clean & disinfections
* CWST Inspections
We are looking for someone in the Berwick area to do 1 (maybe initially 2) days per week sampling water and fibre streams in a paper mill environment and carrying out basic paper related tests (pH, Temperature, Turbidity, Suspended Solids, Cationic demand, zeta potential, conductivity) on site in the paper mill laboratory. They would need to fill in a spreadsheet and send it to me each visit and I would liaise with the customer on results and recommended actions.
I envisage 1, maybe 2 full days per week for at least 3-4 months and if successful, hopefully ongoing.
* Experience of working in the water industry
* Experience of dealing with customers
* Knowledge of health and safety standards
* Any of the following tickets; Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, CSCS
