Job Description
I'm currently recruiting for a Workshop Manager to join a growing and well-established Plant Hire business based in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's not only technically skilled but also ready to lead from the front, drive operational improvements, and develop a high-performing workshop team.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of workshop engineers ensuring plant equipment is hire-ready
Allocate jobs and manage workloads based on technical need and priority
Be hands-on with diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of plant equipment
Motivate and mentor the team while promoting a positive culture
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Liaise with internal teams to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
What we're looking for:
Background as a Plant Mechanic or similar, ideally NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualified
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Proven leadership skills and a collaborative, problem-solving approach
A full UK driving licence is essential
