Job Description

The Best Connection are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to support our clients workshop operations and ensure the efficient handling of production orders, stock control, and equipment management. This role requires hands-on involvement in day-to-day activities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Key duties: * Manage ongoing production orders issued to the workshop, ensuring timely progress and completion. * Coordinate daily with the Works Manager to monitor order status and align production priorities. * Accurately log all incoming and outgoing hire equipment. * Maintain up-to-date records of inventory and stock levels. * Submit stock requisitions to the Works Manager as needed. * Ensure all documentation—both electronic and paper-based—meets Quality Management System standards. * Uphold strict adherence to health and safety policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times. * Assist with onsite testing, product demonstrations, and deliveries when necessary (occasional overnight travel may be required). * Provide general support to colleagues and management to facilitate smooth execution of orders and projects. * Perform additional technical tasks as required to meet business and customer demands. The role will be working Monday to Friday, (Apply online only) with an hourly rate of between £12.82 to £13.85 dependent on your experience and determined by interview with our client on site. Requirements to be successful: * Valid full UK driving licence. * Capable of working efficiently under pressure. * Previous experience in a workshop environment is preferred. * Physically fit and able to perform manual duties including bending, lifting, and moving equipment. * Team-oriented with a collaborative and supportive approach. * Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. * Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload effectively. * Willing to train in the use of mechanical handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, AisleMasters, pallet movers, order pickers, and basic welding tools). Full training will be provided for suitable candidates
