Job Description
Ambitek is currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Project Support professional to join our client’s thriving team. This is a key coordination role, supporting the Project Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of complex heavy fabrication projects. Please note: this is not a hands-on/tools-based role—the focus is entirely on project coordination and support within a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of workshop-based fabrication projects.

Act as the central liaison between project management and workshop teams, ensuring that deadlines, specifications, and quality standards are consistently met.
*
Manage project documentation, including tracking schedules, updating progress reports, and assisting with estimating.
*
Support resource planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of workflow processes.
*
Assist with cost estimation and project costing activities as required.
*
Promote and ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a heavy fabrication or similar industrial environment.
*
Strong technical understanding, ideally with a background in steel fabrication.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*
High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
*
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, workshop-based office environment focused on coordination, not manual work.
