What You’ll Be Doing As a Year 1 Teacher, you’ll play a key role in helping young children transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) into Key Stage 1. Your responsibilities will include: * Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Develop and deliver exciting, well-structured lessons that follow the National Curriculum, ensuring they are engaging, accessible, and tailored to meet the needs of all learners. * Track and Support Student Progress: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback to encourage growth and achievement. * Create a Positive Learning Environment: Build a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued, supported, and motivated to learn. * Foster Emotional and Social Development: Help children develop confidence, social skills, and emotional resilience, laying the foundation for future learning and development. * Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to curriculum planning, teaching, and assessment. * Engage with Parents and Guardians: Establish positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. * Contribute to School Life: Take part in school-wide events, activities, and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the school community. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a Year 1 Teacher who is passionate, caring, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young children.
