Year 3 Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full-Time)
Location: Harrow, London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, 1-Year Maternity Cover
Salary: MPS (Dependent on experience)
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Harrow from September 2025. This is a full-time maternity cover position, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children’s progress in Key Stage 2 and wants to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported setting.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering the Year 3 curriculum to a bright and eager class, supporting both academic and personal development. You will join a strong teaching team and work alongside experienced colleagues who will support your transition into the school and class.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 3
*
Assess, track and report on pupils’ progress in line with school policies
*
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being
*
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
*
Work collaboratively with the wider KS2 team to ensure consistency and high standards
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3
*
Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing teaching approach
*
Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
A team player who is committed to the wider school community
