The Opportunity:
A thriving and inclusive primary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Year 4 Class Teacher to join its team from September 2025. The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative and caring school community where academic achievement, creativity, and pupil well-being are at the heart of the school’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that align with the Year 4 National Curriculum, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
* Use a range of assessment strategies to track pupil progress, identify learning needs, and provide timely feedback to pupils and parents.
* Promote a stimulating and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a love of learning, mutual respect, and high standards of behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to contribute to curriculum planning, moderation, and whole-school initiatives.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, contribute to pupil reports, and attend relevant parent consultations and staff meetings.
* Participate actively in wider school life, including staff training, enrichment programmes, and community events.
Person Specification
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent, recognised teaching qualification.
* A degree in Education or a related academic field.
* Demonstrated experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with specific familiarity in Year 4 preferred.
* A secure understanding of the National Curriculum and an ability to apply a range of effective pedagogical and assessment approaches.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
* A reflective and resilient practitioner with a commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative school improvement.
* An inclusive teaching philosophy that supports diversity and fosters an environment in which all pupils can thrive.
