Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Year 6 National Curriculum, focusing on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school.

Use a variety of assessment tools to track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent thinking and a love of learning.

Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a consistent and high standard of education.

Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and addressing any concerns.

Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*
Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 2.
*
Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a focused and engaging learning environment.
*
Ability to assess pupil progress, differentiate lessons, and provide support to students preparing for SATs and secondary school.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
*
A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to the positive culture of the school.
