We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a vibrant and nurturing school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and supporting them through their final year of primary education. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 6 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Provide excellent teaching of English and Maths to ensure pupils are well-prepared for end-of-Key-Stage 2 assessments (SATs).
Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and inform next steps.
Establish a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and trips.
Ideal Year 6 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Recent or relevant experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation.
High expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as a Year 6 Teacher.
