Vacancy Brief:
* Our client is seeking a Youth Housing & Tenancy Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract.
* This vacancy is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
* Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
* This vacancy is based in Coventry.
* Candidates will be paid £13.30 PAYE Or £17.23 per hour Umbrella.
* Salary for this role is £26,229 - £27,982 per annum, pro rata
* The role is subject to an enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult workforce.
* A full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle of preferable.
* Managing small case load of 12 – 15 clients.
The Duties & Responsibilities:
* As a Youth Housing & Tenancy Officer, you will enable young people to sustain their tenancy and equip them in relation to taking responsibility for their property.
* Part of your role in your job will be to assist young people in debt management or where necessary signpost them to specialist agencies to address these issues.
* An important aspect of your role as a Youth Housing & Tenancy Officer will to assist young people with benefit claims, including assisting with completion and submission of claim forms and making telephone calls.
* In your job role as a Youth Housing & Tenancy Officer, you will enable young people to pay their rent and service charge.
* As a Youth Housing & Tenancy Officer, you will be required to empower young people and show how to report repairs, keeping property in an acceptable clean manner.
* Furthermore, you will also contribute to the introduction of, Progression Coaches, Housing Management Workers, House Keepers, Volunteers, Students and Trainees, including day to day supervision and performance management.
Role Experience:
* Client Groups: Previous experience of working with young people in the following settings/Types of work – Youth Work, Probation, Community Work, and Housing.
* Supporting Young People at risk of Homelessness.
* Extra Requirement: 2 years’ experience of Tenancy Support.
