1:1 ADHD Specialist Teaching Assistant Location: Lutterworth Contract Type: Full-time (5 days a week) Salary: £95 - £100 per day Start Date: ASAP Are you experienced in supporting children with ADHD and passionate about helping them thrive in school? Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and patient 1:1 ADHD Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Lutterworth. This full-time role involves supporting a child with ADHD, helping them focus, manage their impulses, and succeed in the classroom environment. About the Role: As a 1:1 ADHD Specialist, you will provide tailored support to a primary-aged child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Your role will involve implementing structure and strategies to help the pupil stay focused, regulate their energy levels, and remain engaged with learning. Key responsibilities include: Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with ADHD throughout the school day Assisting the child with focus, attention, and task completion in class Implementing individual behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes Supporting emotional regulation and helping manage impulsivity and hyperactivity Breaking tasks into manageable steps and offering encouragement and reassurance Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the child's individual needs are met Creating a structured, calm, and supportive learning environment Requirements: Previous experience in a UK school setting, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN support role Strong understanding of ADHD and how it can impact learning and behaviour Experience with classroom strategies to support attention, focus, and emotional regulation Patience, consistency, and the ability to adapt quickly to the child's needs Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive, trusting relationship Ability to work collaboratively with staff and contribute to the wider team Why Aspire People?
