Are you an experienced Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism (ASD)?
Do you have the patience, empathy, and creativity to build a strong and trusting relationship with a child on a 1:1 basis?
The Role – 1:1 Learning Mentor (ASD)
We are looking for a calm, compassionate, and proactive 1:1 Learning Mentor to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a welcoming primary school in Islington, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only role from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a 1:1 Learning Mentor, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement strategies that support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development. You’ll help the pupil engage with learning, manage transitions, and build independence within the classroom setting.
