1:1 SEN Teacher Assistant
Primary in Hemel Hempstead | Long-term, Part-Time | Starting Date: 8th September
Pay: £85-£110
Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a pupil with additional needs from September 2025.

Job Description:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals
Implement tailored strategies and intervention programmes under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Foster a positive, nurturing relationship that promotes confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
Support the pupil’s social interaction, communication, and behavioural development
Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting (desirable but not essential)
Be a calm, empathetic, and resilient practitioner with a strong understanding of inclusive practice
Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, child development, and positive behaviour support
Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
Be enthusiastic about professional development and reflective practice
Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check
