About the School
Teach Now is working in partnership with a well-regarded, non-denominational junior school in the heart of Barnet to recruit a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive primary setting that caters to boys and girls aged 7–11. About the Role
Are you a calm, nurturing, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
• Morning: You will support a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis who requires help with emotional regulation. Your calm and compassionate approach will help them feel grounded, supported, and ready to learn
• Afternoon: You will assist a small group of three SEN pupils (1 ASD, 2 with ADHD). With well-established routines, including movement breaks and daily check-ins, your role will be to help students stay engaged and develop positive learning habits
• The school has excellent support systems in place and places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and continuous professional development. Whether you’re looking to specialise further in SEN or grow your career in a nurturing setting, this is an ideal opportunity
