Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Romford
Location: Romford, East London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis.
The Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children with special educational needs, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. You will:
Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and social-emotional challenges
Work one-on-one and in small groups, adapting resources and strategies to suit individual learning plans
Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists to monitor progress and ensure pupils are fully supported
Assist with classroom routines, sensory activities, and structured play
Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment rooted in the school’s Catholic ethos
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience supporting children with SEN in a school, early years, or care setting
Possesses a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – essential)
Shows compassion, patience, and a positive attitude
Communicates effectively and works well in a team
Respects and supports the values of a faith-based school community
