1:1 SEND Support Assistant – ASC & Complex Needs (Primary)

North & West Leeds
 Full-Time:  Long-Term, Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Are you experienced in supporting children with Autism (ASC) and complex needs?

We are working with two welcoming primary schools in North & West Leeds seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to support a pupil with challenging behaviour, autism, and additional needs.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will make a genuine difference every day.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with ASC & complex needs
Support with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) and challenging behaviour
Confident managing behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
A patient, resilient and proactive approach
Background in schools, care, support work, or youth work (all considered)
Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential)
Long-term opportunity with potential to go permanent
Support from a specialist SEND consultant
Access to FREE CPD training (behaviour, autism, safeguarding)
