Are you on the search for a long term support role within a great primary school? We are recruiting for a committed, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, welcoming and well-established primary school in Hemel Hempstead. The role will be based within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social/emotional difficulties, and learning delays. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 support and small-group intervention, tailored to individual EHCP targets. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team to implement strategies that remove barriers to learning. Foster independence, emotional regulation, and confidence in pupils who may struggle with communication, social skills, or classroom engagement. Adapt activities, resources, and routines to ensure all pupils can access learning and make positive progress. Promote a calm, nurturing, and consistent environment that helps pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate.
