About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Crosby area. Your role will include providing tailored support to a student and to help them thrive in an inclusive environment.
1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: L23
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Responsibilities
Work closely with an individual student, offering personalised support for their development
Provide support with classroom activities, and working with the student so that they remain engaged within the lesson
Adapt learning styles to suit the students' needs
Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere which will help the student to build independence.
Collaborate with teachers, parents to ensure the student is given all of the support required
Requirements:
Team teach- this training can be provided
Previous experience working with children.
Experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
Right to Work in the UK.
Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references/cover the last 2 years
