Vision for Education is seeking an experienced 1-1 teaching assistant in Wiltshire – Full time. About the role: Monitor and record the student’s progress and report back to the teacher or support team. Help the student stay focused, organized, and on task during lessons. Support the student’s social and emotional well-being throughout the school day. Assist with transitions between activities or classrooms, as needed. Adapt learning materials to meet the student’s specific needs and abilities. About you: To be considered for the 1-1 teaching assistant role you will: Previous one-to-one support experience with students who have additional needs ( SEN, behavioural and emotional complexities) – Desirable Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students. Background in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour. Experience adapting learning materials to suit individual learning styles and abilities. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. To be considered for the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant you will: Be flexible. Experience in Teaching Assistant roles (Preferable) Competent behaviour management skills. Familiarity with a range of needs (e.g., ASD - Autistic Spectrum Disorder, SLD - Severe Learning Difficulty and PMLD - Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty). Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Willing to complete CPD training.
