Location: Primary School, DN17
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Immediate start – until Christmas, with potential extension)
About the Role:
We are advertising on behalf of a welcoming primary school in DN17, seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a child with SEND, helping them fully access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND in KS1
*
Assist with classroom activities and learning tasks
*
Support the child’s social, emotional, and educational development
*
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement personalised learning plans
Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working with SEND OR primary-aged children
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning
Desirable:

Childcare or teaching assistant qualifications
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: Long-term, initially until Christmas with possibility to extend
